First day basic test and sightseeing tour of Damascus,


Study days are from Sunday to Thursday (19 days) within four weeks. Weekends on Friday and Saturday (9 days 4 weekends incl. one day extra for the three days tour "Exploring Syria").

The last evening there is a farewell dinner for students and instructors.

Levels

Beginners

This course:

  • Is designed for students without any knowledge of Arabic.
  • It contains two books, which include all Arabic characters and many important words and simple sentences.
  • When completed, students are able to use simple sentences in daily life.

Intermediate

This course:

  • Is designed for students who knows the alphabet and basic vocabulary.
  • It contains two books, which allows students to link short sentences (subject, verb, object), students will also gain a wider knowledge of Arabic.
  • When completed, students will be able to communicate with simple conversations.

Advanced I

This course:

  • Is designed for students, who can take part in easy conversations and know the basic grammar.
  • It contains two books, At this level the student enriches his/her vocabulary, extends his/her grammar with training of the irregular verbs.
  • Practices conversations and listening comprehension
  • When completed, the student will be able to understand and participate in more complicated and longer conversations.

Advanced II

This course:

  • Is designed for students whose level in grammar is high enough to learn more sophisticated phrases and language constructions.
  • Contains two books revising grammar.
  • Includes reading newspapers, articles, Arabic literature, and poetry are also part of free sessions with teachers and students.
  • After finishing this course, students will be able to speak Arabic fluently, and deal with Arabic references.
